 Annual Activities Report 2017-2018

 

1.      The society participated in ‘Stakeholder Meeting on Study on Revival of North eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Limited (NERAMAC)’.

Organized by North East Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFi).

Dt. 24th July 2017, at Aijal Club, Aizawl.

 

2.      The society participated in ‘Promotion of World Food India 2017 & KISAN SAMPADA YOJANA – The Scheme of Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI).

Organized by Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India.

Dt. 26th July 2017, at Regency Hotel; Conference Hall, Aizawl.

 

3.      The society participated in ‘Orientation Program of Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) under Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCD-NER)’.

Organized by Mission Organic Mizoram (MOM), Department of Agriculture, Government of Mizoram.

Dt. 18th August 2017, at Agriculture Conference Hall, Directorate of Agriculture,   Aizawl.

 

4.      The society participated in ‘Mizoram State Entrepreneur Development Monitoring Committee (MEDMOC) Training’.

Jointly organized by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Mission Organic Mizoram (MOM), Department of Agriculture, Government of Mizoram.

5.      Representation of the Society by Dr. R. Zonunsanga, Executive Member, along with Dr. Udai Singh, Director, Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, USA, and Prof. Joe Magner, Research Professor, Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering, University of Minnesota, USA.

Topic – River Restoration (Save Chite River).

Dt. 26th October 2017, at Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office, Aizawl.

 

6.      The Society organized Christmas charity program in Aizawl Civil Hospital, Aizawl. Financial assistance was distributed to six (6) patients in need.

7.      Funded printing of “Financing the Poor in Mizoram – Initiatives of the State Government” authored by Dr. Lalzahawma, Executive Member.

Dt. 9th February 2018.

 

8.      Being a resource person in ‘Machine Learning and Its Application – Neural Networks and Machine Learning Application’ during 19th – 23rd  March 2018, organized by Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology and TEIP-III, MHRD, GoI @ Dibrugarh.

Resource person: Vanlalhruaia, Executive Member.

 

9. Organizing Annual General Body Meeting on 30th March 2018, attended by 14 Members.

 

10. Many Concept Papers have been prepared for various social development programs time to time.

1.  Continuing Targeted Intervention (TI) - Injecting Drug Users (IDU) Project in Hnahthial under NACO/MSACS. The project commenced from December 2020, extended in June 2021. There are 12 project staff, 11 for DIC and 1 for Sub-DIC. 2. Selected to undertake two research projects viz. State Policy Dialogue on Natural Resource Management and Human-Wildlife Conflict at Pre-Selected Villages in Dampa Tiger Reserve and Thorang Wildlife Sanctuary under Green-Ag, SPMU, Agriculture Department, Government of Mizoram. Projects commenced from March 2021, expected to complete within a year, but couldn’t due to Covid-19 pandemic, round to be finished by May 2022. Summary of Annual Activities Reports 2020 - 2021

  Annual Activities Report 2020-2021   1.       Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the society is out of action for ample time.   2.       Submitted EOI to MSACS, GoM, in response to NACO Funding Link Workers Scheme (LWS) and Targeted Intervention (TI) Project in all Districts of Mizoram. Selected to implement Targeted Intervention (TI) - Injecting Drug Users (IDU) Project in Hnahthial, Project commenced from December 2020.   3.       Annual Review Meeting followed by Christmas Charity Christmas Charity Program in Tlawng Kai, Reiek Road on Dt. 20 th December 2020. Ten (10) Governing Members attended the Meeting. One family is given financial aid as Christmas present.   4.       Annual Action Plan Meeting on Dt. 6 th January 2021. Thirteen (13) Governing Members attended the Meeting.   5.       Submitted EOI to Green-Ag, SPMU, Agriculture Department, GoM, in response to GEF-FAO Funding Research Projects in Mamit and Lunglei Districts.
