Annual Activities Report 2018-19

 

 

1.      Published leaflet, and opened a stall for career guidance & counseling, distance & e-learning, HIV/AIDS awareness in Mizoram Youth Commission presents Youth Summit & Road Sow 2018, that cover all districts of Mizoram.

2.      Being a resource person in ‘Felicitation Program and Career Guidance for Successful Students in HSLC Examination 2018’ in 10th May 2018, organized by Khawzawl Students’ Association @ Khawzawl Zaingen Hall.

3.      Being a resource person in ‘Extended Program for students of PG Diploma in Higher Education’ during 14th – 18th May 2018, organized by IGNOU Aizawl Regional Centre @ IGNOU Aizawl RC.

4.      Being a resource person in ‘Felicitation Program and Career Guidance for Successful Students in HSLC & HSSLC Examination 2018’ in 1st June 2018, organized by Young Mizo Association, Melthum Branch @ Melthum Kawn, Aizawl.

Resource person:         Dr. Lalzahawma, Executive Member.

 

5.      The society participated in ‘Mizoram Kailawn Micro Start-up Competition & Business Plan Contest’ organized by Mizoram State Entrepreneur Development Monitoring Committee (MEDMOC) during May-June 2018.

Three B-Plan were submitted by the society as such:

                        Hoi Philoi – Integrated Facilitation Centre

                        CSR Hub – Mizoram

                        Zamzo Real Estate

Amongst the three, CSR Hub – Mizoram, is selected for top 40 and the subsequent boot camp mentored & supervised by IIM-Kolkata.

The above three plans were again submitted for  DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia  during June 2018.

 

6.      Being a resource person in ‘Felicitation Program and Career Guidance for Successful Students in HSLC, HSSLC, BA & MA Examination 2018’ in 22nd June 2018, organized by Kawnpui Youth Association, Kawnpui @ Govt. High School, Kawnpui.

7.      Funded printing of two books as under:-

“Sulhnu Sawhbawl” authored by KJ Lalbiakngheta, Managing Director.

 “Khirh Nih Hlawh” authored by Dr. Lalzahawma, Executive Member.

On Dt. 30th July 2018.

 

8.      The society participated in ‘My New Economics Development Policy (NEDP) – My Project, Mipui Mamawh Intawm Ruahmanna (MiMIR)’ project writing contest organized by Planning Department, Government of Mizoram, during July 2018.

The society’s project, Storage and marketing Hub – Kawlkulh North, is selected for top three promising projects in Champhai District.

 

9.      Being a resource person in ‘Legal Awareness Campaign for Students’ in 27th August 2018, organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Mamit District @ Dinthar Veng, West Phaileng.

10.  Being a resource person in ‘Teachers Day Celebration’ in 5th September 2018, organized by Govt. High School @ High School Hall, West Phaileng.

11.  Being a resource person in ‘Career Conclave 2018’ in 14th September 2018, organized by Mizo Students’ Union (MSU), Khawzawl Hqtrs. @ Khawzawl College Multipurpose Hall.

12.  Being a resource person in ‘Career Guidance Program’ in 21st September 2018, organized by Kawlkulh Educational Staff Association (KESA) @ Community Hall, Kawlkulh North.

13.  The society participated in ‘Advocacy Workshop on National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).

Organized by Labour, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (LESDE) Department, Government of Mizoram.

14.  Organizing Annual General Body Meeting on 29th March 2019, attended by 13 Members.

 

15.  Many Concept Papers have been prepared for various social development programs time to time.

1.  Continuing Targeted Intervention (TI) - Injecting Drug Users (IDU) Project in Hnahthial under NACO/MSACS. The project commenced from December 2020, extended in June 2021. There are 12 project staff, 11 for DIC and 1 for Sub-DIC. 2. Selected to undertake two research projects viz. State Policy Dialogue on Natural Resource Management and Human-Wildlife Conflict at Pre-Selected Villages in Dampa Tiger Reserve and Thorang Wildlife Sanctuary under Green-Ag, SPMU, Agriculture Department, Government of Mizoram. Projects commenced from March 2021, expected to complete within a year, but couldn’t due to Covid-19 pandemic, round to be finished by May 2022. Summary of Annual Activities Reports 2020 - 2021

  Annual Activities Report 2020-2021   1.       Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the society is out of action for ample time.   2.       Submitted EOI to MSACS, GoM, in response to NACO Funding Link Workers Scheme (LWS) and Targeted Intervention (TI) Project in all Districts of Mizoram. Selected to implement Targeted Intervention (TI) - Injecting Drug Users (IDU) Project in Hnahthial, Project commenced from December 2020.   3.       Annual Review Meeting followed by Christmas Charity Christmas Charity Program in Tlawng Kai, Reiek Road on Dt. 20 th December 2020. Ten (10) Governing Members attended the Meeting. One family is given financial aid as Christmas present.   4.       Annual Action Plan Meeting on Dt. 6 th January 2021. Thirteen (13) Governing Members attended the Meeting.   5.       Submitted EOI to Green-Ag, SPMU, Agriculture Department, GoM, in response to GEF-FAO Funding Research Projects in Mamit and Lunglei Districts.
